Balance and billing

Marsial starts with a free trial and is prepaid after that: you add balance and it is used as you go. You never pay more than you loaded and there are no subscriptions to cancel.

Every new account starts on a trial: connect any networks you like and publish without paying.

  • The 7 days start with your first post (when a post goes out on any network), not when you sign up.
  • The trial lasts 14 days from sign-up at most: if you publish nothing in that time, it ends anyway.
  • X and phone numbers are not part of the trial: they need balance from the start.
  • The trial covers up to 20 accounts. Connecting a 21st asks for balance, and the first top-up ends the trial.
  • When it ends without balance, your scheduled posts pause (status paused) and you cannot publish or connect accounts. Nothing is deleted.
  • The first top-up ends the trial: paused posts whose date is still ahead go back on schedule; the ones whose date passed wait for a new one.

We let you know in the dashboard (and by email): when you first publish, the day before your posts pause, and when it ends. GET /v1/billing returns the trial in trial (status, end, days left).

Connected accounts, day by day and in tiers:

Accounts Price per account and month
1 to 10 €6.00
11 to 100 €3.00
From 101 €1.00

An account is only paid for the days it is connected: the monthly price is split by day. With 4 accounts you pay 4 × €6 = €24 a month, about €0.77 a day. Taxes are added.

Usage, on top: X API calls, messages beyond the included ones, phone numbers (monthly), calls (per minute) and SMS (per segment), at the rates on marsial.dev/en/pricing with no margin. It is charged every 15 minutes.

From the dashboard, in Settings → Billing. Payment goes through Stripe; each top-up is €10 to €500 for the first three and up to €5,000 after that. You can turn on automatic recharges: when the balance falls below an amount, your saved card is charged, up to a monthly limit.

In the API, the balance (GET /v1/billing) and the movements (GET /v1/billing/movements) are in euro cents, with up to three decimals: a movement of -9.678 is €0.09678. Each movement carries currency: "eur".

With the balance at zero, your accounts are on hold: they cannot publish or send replies until you add balance. Whatever was already scheduled still goes out.

In the API, whatever needs balance answers 402, including connecting an account without balance or publishing after the trial ended:

402 Payment Required

"code": "payment_required",
"message": "Your free trial has ended: add balance in Billing to keep publishing. Nothing was deleted."
